Marco has over 25 years of experience in alternative asset management and private credit across Italian and European markets. He previously led the structured finance division at a major European investment bank before founding ANIMA ALTERNATIVE SGR SPA. Chiara Veltri
Chief Investment Officer, Private Debt
Chiara oversees all private debt and direct lending strategies, bringing 18 years of credit analysis and portfolio management expertise to the role. She has structured over €2 billion in corporate lending transactions across mid-market Italian and pan-European companies. Her approach combines rigorous financial modelling with hands-on borrower engagement throughout the credit lifecycle.
Alessandro Bonardi
Head of Private Equity
Alessandro leads the private equity team, focusing on control and significant minority investments in growth-stage European businesses. He spent 15 years at leading private equity houses in Milan and London before joining ANIMA ALTERNATIVE SGR SPA. His investment philosophy centres on operational value creation and sustainable business model development.
